We had a girl on our cheerleading squad that had a baby 5 months after we placed 3rd at the UCA college national championships. If you do a little math, you can figure out that she was tumbling, stunting and jumping up to 4 months pregnant. She had a very healthy baby boy.

I spotted athletes all through my first pregnancy (some as big and even heavier then me) without incident. Doctors told me that if it is normal for me to do a lot of lifting it should not affect the pregnancy. I was still coaching and spotting 5 hours before my son was born.

My best advice would be to listen to your body. if everything feels okay then go for it, if not, probably best to avoid the heavy lifting.

I am 29 weeks prego and still spotting. I coach gymnastics and still spot everything. I do get tired way more easily and after being on my feet for about 4-5 hours I am done.

Probably depends on your size and the size of your gymnast and how much you are spotting.

Itty-bitties probably ok if you can do it from your knees.

Once you have to start standing squat-ish, it means you are transfering some load throughout your body into your back and hips, especially if you are doing them down a wedge and mostly on one side.

I wouldn't bother if you had to carry them through a spot. Actually, in an ideal situtation, I wouldn't even bother spotting them and have them work other drills or in a belt or handspring octagon/boulder/trainer.

My wife was allowed to tumble (limited) up to about 20 weeks. She coached and spotted until the day before the baby was born. Everyone is just fine! Hope that helps!
