I have known Phil for over 20 years. He is one of the nicest people I know and he is an excellent coach. This is so well-deserved!
Phil Savage is one of the absolute best persons I know. We need more coaches like Phil in the sport coaching at the top levels. I am amazed each year how he is able to take gymnasts with marginal talent and turn them into competitve gymnasts, challenging some of the best gymnasts in the region. Few people have a heart as big as Phil and his love for the sport and life in general radiates around him, I have never heard him speak a negative word or raise his voice. He is always ready to help other coashes and gymnasts, especially those of opposing gyms. Phil Savage is worthy of induction into the Hall of Fame.
