I’ve not yet seen this documentary on performance enhancing drugs.
… The documentary examines the steroid use of the director Christopher Bell and his two brothers, Mark and Mike Bell, who all grew up idolizing Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hulk Hogan, and Sylvester Stallone, and also features professional athletes, medical experts, fitness center members, and US Congressmen talking about the issue of anabolic steroids.
Beyond the basic issue of anabolic steroid use, Bigger, Stronger, Faster* examines the lack of consistency in how America views drugs, cheating, and the lengths people go to achieve success. …

I have seen this documentary. I highly recommend it. If its information is correct, it’s very informative and enlightening. Also fairly entertaining. Over all, it’s done pretty well, even if the message is somewhat uncomfortable.
If you ride the fence on the permissibility of steroid use, it probably will push you in the direction of thinking that they’re ok, at least for grown men capable of making their own decisions and choices. It doesn’t explicitly say that kids should use them, and I doubt anyone would ever recommend it, and I’m certainly not doing that here.
I’m sure counter arguments exist, and maybe statistics can be debated by using other models or information, etc. That’s no different than any other documentary presenting “evidence” in support of an opinion. There are always different ways of analyzing things, and disagreements will always exist.
But at the very least, it is an engaging film.
