The only problem was a) She has the same number of “tricks” as Melissa and Tony and b) That wasn’t a true lindy at all. That was closer to a Jive. None of the “lindy hops” tonight were. This is a true Lindy:
Melissa and Tony did a different kind of tricks. Shawn’s tricks were more acrobatic.
Sherg. Both of those dances were a dance called Jitterbug (which was danced last season). Both were not lindys in any shape or form. It still annoyed me. Either way, if you’re going by lindy standards, both had scores that were way to high.
That…really isn’t Lindy. And that is totally NOT what you wear when you Lindy.
“Sherg. Both of those dances were a dance called Jitterbug (which was danced last season).”
I didn’t say they were Lindys. You said M/T and S/M did the same number of tricks and I was saying I thought they did different kinds of tricks in their routines. I think the judges didn’t like Shawn’s more acrobatically based tricks.
Most of Shawn’s more ‘acrobatic’ tricks are actually proper aerials, but there’s a helluva lot more to Lindy than just aerials.
