Great shame about Gymnast.com. Through the affiliation with USAG they got some great access, and had some very unique coverage.

Been looking into this for awhile now, but what are some good software apps for website authoring nowadays? When I started, MS FrontPage was widely used, and now the product doesn't even exist.

I have sent quite a bit of feedback to Inside Gymnastics. Also contacted some of their key people directly.

They are TRYING, I'll give them that.

Many gave Gymnast.com a lot of feedback. It was a good site. Unfortunately the arrangement with USAG went wrong.

hey i have an idea... how about you guys quit complaining about everything and actually submit some ideas on how they can make things better. i don't think you really realize what goes into building a website, let alone running a successful one. especially in hard times when no one is purchasing advertising, which essentially is the only thing that makes a magazine run.

btw.. you can submit ur comments to either magazine.. just hit contact us.

companies and people are pulling in their growth ventures. I would not be surprised if financial issues (real or anticipated) from the economy are behind this. When things get tight all the foofoo frills stuff is under the gunsights. Actually I wonder if you all are seeing less people signing up for gym? Hopefully the Olys help for a while, but I bet even if things are up there not as much as they normally would be.

At least Inside Gym was only non-working for, like, a day (I don't check it daily, so who knows) while IG has been down for almost two weeks now (longer?) and STILL isn't working.

There are no improvements to the IG site that we can see. Looks like they just screwed up going to new software or a new web host, something competent websites do every day with no issues.

Gymnast.com, well, it was OK but with all the video bandwidth and no actual revenue it was bound to fail.
