"From personal experience, I can tell you it’s a BAD release for inflexible gymnasts."

When you said flexible, I was thinking flexible "for a gymnast". I don't think you need as much flexibility for a Comaneci as you do for a stalder.

From personal experience, I can tell you it's a BAD release for inflexible gymnasts. Jaeger, by comparison, is much easier if you are not flexible.

The long swing gives you many more options than the cast support swing.

"An excellent release for very flexible gymnasts."

I think that depends on how you do it. So many gymnasts used to do a Tkatchev with a pancake that you might have thought it was required to complete the skill. Now you don't see that nearly as much. As far as I know, three hits and a miss in Beijing and nobody had a past the ears pancake at the regrasp like Grace.
