(… I recommended Oksana Omelianchik 1985 Worlds Floor routine (video) to the list. While she was not a strong tumbler, this routine was stunningly original for the time.)

I think their reasons for not including at least ONE of Bogi, Olga S, and Laschenova are lame and make no sense. Olga Strazheva NEEDS to be in there, along with Bogi’s ’88 routine and Shantessa Pama. Get out the first girl from Spain and put in Omelianchik. Or is Omelianchik not unique because she received the same classical dance training as her teammates?

I prefer this version of Omelianchik’s routine, because it has a close-up of her facial expressions. She really was a joy to watch, primarily because of her ability to be expressive and wear her personality on her sleeve.
Someone commented that they thought Hope Spivey’s 1994 perfect 10 NCAA Floor Routine should have made that list. I could be mistaken, but doesn’t she still hold the record number of perfect 10s? That “rewind” section of Hope’s Floor is BRILLIANT.
I think a gymnast in the modern era should steal the idea.
I originally had Strazheva’s 89 world routine in my list, but after a debate on WWGym on who should be top 10, it was felt appropriate to leave out both Strazheva and Bogi.
Not to say that they both aren’t great, because they are amazing. They both just had similar styles when they competed together.
