It's evident from even this (very, very good and very, very appreciated) site, the multitude of books and videos. And it does not surprise me, that they are iffy on quality. I think the major advances will be made by people who really don't care that much about the money and just want to convey knowledge. (Unfortunately, there is a market failure here, in both directions.)

Another thing, that I'm observing over time is that gymnasts and coaches are less analytical and less interested in writing than I used to think. There is much more deep analysis of football or baseball or hockey technique.

One good thing from Sands's comments is that he is still available for those who want to learn. They can buy him dinner and pick his brain.

What I really think would be good would be a higher level forum, with more in-depth and analytical discussion. But coaches don't like to write. And all the forums that need registration are an abomination.
