It worked best, I thought, when training handstands and pirouettes. But kids tried it on bars and tumbling, as well.

What material did he use to make that?
I was with him at Home Depot. He bought a variety of different plastic pipe pieces. The time-consuming part was heating the plastic (with a blow dryer) to curve the plastic to fit around the shoulders the way he wanted.
But it is a great concept.
I could not build one myself, however.
